Large Ableton Exports and Browsers

Use Chrome or Edge

For large set exports with samples, use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.

  1. Open your band in Chrome or Edge.
  2. Open the setlist → Export Ableton → With samples.
  3. When Chrome/Edge asks for a folder, pick or create a folder inside Desktop, Downloads, or Documents (not the system folder itself).
  4. Let the write finish.

Safari cannot do large set exports with samples

Safari hits a memory / folder-write limit on large Ableton set exports. The export can fail or stop with a size / memory message.

Fix: switch to Chrome or Edge and run the same With samples export there.

Do not treat a thinner export option or a server-side build as the Safari answer for large full-sample sets — the supported path is Chrome or Edge.
