Move or Duplicate a Song to Another Band
Send a song to another band on the same account, or make a separate copy there, each with its own files.
A song belongs to one band. When another band on the same account needs it, move the song over, or duplicate it so each band has its own copy. Both give the destination band its own stem files. Editing one band after that does not change the other.
A setlist still belongs to one band. You cannot build a setlist out of songs that live on different bands. Duplicate the song onto the band that owns the setlist, then add that copy.
What you need
- Both bands are on the same account. The band list will not offer a band on someone else's account.
- You can edit songs on the band the song is leaving and on the band it is going to. Account admins can. If Move to another band… and Duplicate to another band… are not in the song menu, ask an admin to give you edit access on each band.
Move a song
Moving takes the song off this band and puts it on the other one.
- Open the band that has the song now.
- On the song's row, open the ⋯ menu.
- Choose Move to another band….
- Pick the destination band.
- Click Move song.
The song leaves this band. Its stem files are copied, so later edits over there stay over there. It comes off this band's setlists. Share links that pointed at the song stop working. Add it to a setlist on the destination band when you want it in a show.
A move does not count as a new song.
Duplicate a song
Duplicating leaves the original where it is and gives the other band a separate copy.
- Open the band that has the song now.
- On the song's row, open the ⋯ menu.
- Choose Duplicate to another band….
- Pick the destination band.
- Click Duplicate song.
The other band gets its own copy, with its own stem files. This song stays here. The copy starts off every setlist. Add it to a setlist on the destination band yourself.
A duplicate counts as another song, so your plan's song limit and storage limit still apply. If you are at the cap, Pliris tells you instead of creating the copy.

The copy starts with the same cover art. Replacing the cover later uploads a new image for that song only.
Pitch and time-stretch versions are not copied. Render those again on the destination band if you use them.
Snapshot history stays with a song you move. A duplicate starts without that history.
LTC
The old LTC audio is cleared, because that file still starts at the previous time. Generate the LTC audio again if you send timecode to the room. See Sending LTC / SMPTE Timecode.

How do I move a song to another band in Pliris?
Open the band that has the song, open the song's ⋯ menu, and choose Move to another band…. Pick a band on the same account and click Move song. The song leaves this band, comes off this band's setlists, and shows up on the other band.
What is the difference between moving a song and duplicating it?
Move takes the song off this band. Duplicate leaves it here and adds a separate copy on the other band. In both cases the destination gets its own stem files, and edits on one band do not change the other.
Can I copy a song to a band on a different account?
No. Move and duplicate only list bands on the same account.
Will editing the copy change the original band?
No. Stems and the other song files are copied. A change on the destination band writes to those copies.
Can one setlist use songs from two bands?
No. A setlist belongs to one band. Duplicate the song onto that band, then add the copy to the setlist.
