Why Does My Stem Show “Processing”?

What happens after upload, how long processing usually takes, and what to do when a stem is stuck.

After you upload audio, stems are processed (transcoded for in-app playback) and stored. That usually finishes within about 30 seconds.

What to try

  1. Wait a minute — the app polls and also listens for webhooks.
  2. Refresh the arrangement page once.
  3. Confirm the file is a supported audio type (or a zip/Ableton project the importer understands).
  4. If it is still stuck after a few minutes, contact support with the song name, band name, and roughly when you uploaded.
