How to Change a Stem's Group on a Song
Right-click a stem on the song page and choose Move to group to change where that one stem is routed. Use Settings → Stems instead when every song with that stem name should change.
A stem's group decides which return it lands on in your export and which bucket it sits in on the song page. When automatic matching gets one wrong, a pad lands under Guitars, a harmony lands under Lead Vocals, you fix it on the song page.
Move one stem, on one song
- Open the song's arrangement page.
- Find the stem in the stem list and right-click it. (If that menu is missing on your build, click Edit first, then right-click, and click Done when you are finished.)
- Choose Move to group and pick the group. The list shows every group the band can see: the built-in ones and your custom groups.
The stem moves immediately. Only this stem on this song changes. Other songs with a stem of the same name stay where they were, and the next upload with that name is still matched automatically. The change is captured in Snapshot History, so you can roll it back.

Several stems at once
Open the song's Assets panel (the Upload button on the song page). Every stem has a Group dropdown on its row, and ticking several rows shows a Move to group… action that moves them together. Reference and LTC files have no group, so their dropdown is disabled.
Change every song at once
If the same stem name is wrong in every song, do not fix it song by song. Open Settings → Stems, find the name, and pick the right group in its Stem group column. Every file in the band with that name moves, and the name is pinned so the next upload lands there too. See Settings → Stems.

One group at a time
A stem belongs to exactly one stem group. Moving it to Tim's Guitar takes it out of Guitar. If what you actually want is the stem on a second return, leave its group alone and add a send on Settings → Returns instead: Routing One Stem to Multiple Return Tracks.
The group is right but the export is wrong
Then the group's destination is what needs changing, not the stem. Open Settings → Stem groups and check the group's Routes to value, then Settings → Returns to check the return is still in the export. Settings and Routing walks the three screens in order.
Frequently asked questions
How do I move a stem to a different group in Pliris?
On the song page, right-click the stem and choose Move to group, then pick the group. Only that stem on that song changes.
Does moving a stem on one song change the other songs?
No. Right-click on a song page changes that stem only. To change every song with the same stem name, use Settings → Stems and pick the group in the name's Stem group column.
Why did my stem go back to the wrong group after I re-uploaded it?
A song-page move applies to that stem. A new upload is matched fresh. Pin the name on Settings → Stems, or pre-define it with Add stem name, and every future upload lands in the right group.
Can I drag a stem into another group?
No. Groups change through the right-click menu, or the Group column in the Assets panel.
Can a stem be in two groups?
No. A stem is in one group at a time. To have it land on more than one return, add a send on Settings → Returns.
