Who can join
The beta is open to:
- paid Pliris plans,
- free trials,
- guest passes.
A band member on a paid account gets in through that account. The Free plan isn't in this first round of the beta. If you're on the Free plan, the beta page tells you so, and you can start a trial or upgrade to join.
Install the Mac apps
- Go to fromstudiotostage.com/beta-apps and sign in.
- Click Download on Files or Maestro. Each download link works for a few minutes, so start it from the page rather than saving the link.
- Open the downloaded
.dmgand drag the app into Applications. - For Maestro, restart Ableton Live after installing so Live loads the Maestro script.
The first time you open each app, macOS asks for a few permissions. The Pliris Desktop Apps explains each prompt.
Install the iPhone and iPad apps
- On your iPhone or iPad, install Apple's free TestFlight app from the App Store.
- On the same device, open fromstudiotostage.com/beta-apps and sign in.
- Tap Join on Bands, Charts or Remote. TestFlight opens and installs the app.
- Open the app and sign in with your Pliris account.
TestFlight uses whichever Apple ID is signed in to TestFlight on that device. You don't need to send us your Apple ID.
When something goes wrong
These are beta builds, so some things will be rough. Open the chat bubble on fromstudiotostage.com and tell us which app, what you did and what you saw. A screenshot helps.
Frequently asked questions
Are the Pliris desktop apps out yet?
Files and Maestro for Mac are out as a beta. Sign in at fromstudiotostage.com/beta-apps to download them. The beta is open to paid Pliris plans, free trials and guest passes.
Is there a Pliris app for iPhone or iPad?
Yes, as a beta through TestFlight: Bands, Charts and Remote. Install TestFlight from the App Store, then sign in at fromstudiotostage.com/beta-apps on your phone or tablet and tap Join on each app you want.
Is Maestro on iPhone?
Maestro runs on a Mac, next to Ableton Live. Remote is the iPhone and iPad app that controls it.
Why does the beta page say it's for Pliris subscribers?
You're signed in on the Free plan, and the Free plan isn't in this first round of the beta. Start a trial or upgrade to a paid plan, then come back to the page. If you're on a paid plan and still see this, check you signed in with the email on your Pliris account.
Can I share the TestFlight link with my band?
Send them to fromstudiotostage.com/beta-apps instead. Each person signs in with their own account. Band members on a paid account get in through that account.
Does my guest pass include the beta?
Yes. An active guest pass gets the same beta apps as a paid plan.
