Auto Align, Count-In, and Variable Tempo
3 new features in beta to help going from stems to fully programmed set, even easier!
The goal of Pliris is to help you do what you do even better and faster. Today we're launching three features in beta for All-Access members to make that dream a reality.
All three features work together to solve a problem faced by every playback engineer. It's particularly difficult for beginners to solve, but we've all experienced it.
The Problem
You load stems into Ableton Live, set your tempo properly, and turn your click on — but what you hear is chaos. Despite having the correct tempo, your stems won't line up to the grid. We all face this problem at some point, and for first-time playback engineers, it's one of the things that makes you want to quit faster than almost anything else.
The Current Situation in Bands
The goal of Bands is simple: upload raw stems and get a fully programmed Ableton Live set in seconds. But if you don't understand the alignment problem you're up against in Ableton, uploading your song to Bands can actually make it worse. This is especially common with MP3 stems from sites like KaraokeVersion.
The Solution
Today we're launching three features that work together to solve this problem and deliver a fully programmed Ableton Live set — even when your stems aren't the cleanest or aren't rendered properly.
Auto-Align
Auto-Align analyzes your stems and automatically aligns them to the Ableton Live grid.
Count-In
Count-In adds an automatic count-in to every song. You can set a default count-in value per band that applies across your entire account, and override it on individual songs whenever you need to.
Variable Tempo
Variable Tempo detects tempo changes in your song and automatically writes them into your Ableton Live file.
Available for All-Access Members
All three features are available for All-Access members to beta test now. Navigate to settings for your band and enable each feature individually. Since they're band-specific, you can test them on one band without disrupting your main workflow.
