Credits: What They Cost, and Buying More

How many credits each plan gets per month, what analysis costs per minute, what is free, and how to buy one-time credit packs when a big week needs more than your grant.

Processing in Pliris™ runs on credits. Every plan comes with a monthly grant, and All-Access accounts can buy one-time packs on top when a big import week needs more than the grant covers.

What you get each month

Plan Credits per month
Free 240
Pliris All-Access 1,000

Your grant refreshes on a 30-day credit period, which is its own clock. It is not tied to when Stripe bills you, so on the annual plan your credits still refresh roughly monthly, not once a year.

The credit meter in the account menu (click your avatar) is where to look. It shows what is left and the date it next resets. The renewal date on Settings → Plan & billing is a different thing: that is when your subscription renews, which on an annual plan is nowhere near your next credit refresh.

What things cost

Analysis is priced per minute of audio, not per job, so a seven-minute song costs more to analyze than a three-minute one.

What you are doing Cost
Analyze a song 20 credits per minute (minimum 20)

A typical song import is around 80 credits, so a 1,000-credit month is roughly a dozen songs.

These are free today:

  • Building a set, and building a setlist.
  • Generating cue voices.
  • Re-importing an edited .als from Ableton. That is an import, not an analysis.
  • Editing anything by hand: lyrics, chords, section labels, tempo, routing.
  • Playing back, rehearsing, downloading, or sharing what you already have.

Re-import, hand edits and playback are free by design, because none of them processes audio. Set building and cue voices are currently unmetered. Read that as today's behavior rather than a permanent promise.

Prices are read live at the time of the job, and you see the cost before it is charged. Failed jobs refund automatically.

Buying extra credits

Settings → Plan & billing → Buy credits

Three one-time packs:

Pack Price Roughly
400 credits $15 About 5 typical song imports
800 credits $29 About 10 typical song imports
1,200 credits $45 About 15 typical song imports

Longer songs use more credits than shorter ones, so treat those song counts as guides rather than guarantees.

How packs behave

  • They never expire. A pack you buy in March is still there in November.
  • Your monthly grant is spent first. Packs are only drawn on once the grant for the period runs out, so you never burn a pack you did not need.
  • They stack. Buy more than one and the credits add together into one balance.
  • Checkout is Stripe, the same as your subscription.

Who can buy

Packs are for All-Access accounts and for anyone on an active guest pass.

  • On the Free plan? Packs are not available. Upgrading is the better deal, since it raises your monthly grant rather than topping it up once.
  • A member of someone else's account? The account owner buys credits, and they land in that account's balance for everyone in it. You will be pointed at the owner rather than shown a checkout.

Refunds

Unused purchased credits are not refunded automatically. If you bought a pack by mistake, contact support from the bubble on any page and we will sort it out case by case.

Running low

Pliris warns you before it becomes a problem:

  • The credit meter shows everything you can spend against your monthly grant and, if you hold pack credits, names them separately as credits that do not expire.
  • For analysis, if a song costs more than you have left you are told before the job starts, not partway through. The upload and analyze surfaces check affordability against the song's real duration first.
  • "Not enough for this song" and "you are out of credits" are different messages, because they need different answers. One is a top-up, the other might be an upgrade.
  • If you hit a limit mid-import, the dialog offers Get more credits and takes you straight to the packs.

If you are buying a pack most months, tell us. That is a signal your workload wants a bigger monthly grant than the plan gives you, and it is worth a conversation rather than a standing top-up.

Frequently asked questions

How do I buy more credits in Pliris?

Open Settings → Plan & billing and click Buy credits. Pick a pack of 400, 800, or 1,200 credits and check out through Stripe. The credits land in your account balance right away.

Do purchased credits expire?

No. Pack credits never expire, and your monthly grant is always spent before them, so a pack you buy in a heavy month waits untouched through a quiet one.

Can I buy credits on the free plan?

No. Credit packs are for All-Access accounts and active guest passes. On the free plan, upgrading raises your monthly grant from 240 to 1,000 credits.

How many credits does a song cost?

Analysis is 20 credits per minute of audio, with a 20-credit minimum. A typical song is around 80 credits, so longer songs cost more than shorter ones.

Why did my credits reset on a different date from my billing date?

Credits run on their own 30-day period, separate from Stripe billing. The account menu's credit meter shows the next credit reset. Plan & billing shows when the subscription renews.

Does re-importing my Ableton set cost credits?

No. Re-importing an edited .als is an import, not an analysis, so it is free. Ignore any out-of-credits warning on that step.
