Overview

In this course, you’ll learn how to connect Ableton Live to other computers, and production gear.  You’ll be able to connect a computer running Ableton Live to any other computer or piece of gear, no matter the setup, or distance between the two machines.

  • Understand how to connect Ableton Live via wired and wireless connection types.
  • Understand the considerations when connecting Ableton Live wirelessly to another machine.
  • Learn how to send connect Ableton Live to another device to send LTC.
  • Learn how to connect Ableton Live to another device via an ethernet cable using a Network MIDI connection.
  • Learn how to connect Ableton Live to another device using a 5 pin MIDI cable.
  • Learn how to connect Ableton Live to another device using 5 Pin MIDI that is over 50' Feet.
  • Learn how to use the JL Copper MLA-XLR device to send 5 Pin MIDI over 50'
  • Learn how to create a DIY MIDI-XLR adapter and use the MIDI Solutions power adapter to send MIDI over 50'.
  • Learn how to send 5 pin MIDI over 50' using an ethernet cable and the Kenton Line Driver.
  • Learn how to send MIDI wirelessly between two machines using a wireless Network MIDI connection.
  • Understand when and how to use Ableton Live between two machines.
